Schecter Guitar

Schecter guitar research is a small company that got its start as a "replacement part" business for customizing electric and acoustic guitars and basses. They made replacement parts for Gibson and Fender type guitars. The company has been owned by a new owner since 1989, when the company was moved back to California from Dallas, Texas. Schecter Diamond Series electric and acoustic guitars and basses (their budget instuments) are manufactured in South Korea while Custom Shop guitars and basses are handmade in Burbank, California (if you're interested in playing acoustic guitar, learn more here).

They have several models of acoustic and electric instruments, some of which are similar to a Fender Stratocaster and others like a Gibson SG or Les Paul. Schecter instruments are used to play blues, jazz, rock, funk, country and fingerstyle guitar. Artists such as Papa Roach, Tommy Lee, The Stone Temple Pilots, The Cure, Bile, Goldfinger, The Bled, and The Used endorses Schecter acoustic and electric guitars and basses.
